How PipilaTM Works:
Unlike other units on the market, using Pipila to sanitize your pacifier does not change the shape of the nipple or leave residual smells or peculiar tastes on the nipple. Further, Pipila is compact and portable enabling you to take it wherever you go!
The combination of UV and O3 function to penetrate and rupture the cell wall of germs, they then attack and destroy the DNA in the cell's nucleus, the core function centre of the of the cell. This ultimately results in the termination of germs on the pacifier, leaving your baby with a clean and safe pacifier and you with a peace of mind.
Both UV and Ozone are elements of nature. Ozone is a naturally occurring molecule that is harmless to humans, once Ozone attacks and destroys germs, it breaks down into the oxygen we breathe.
Hygiene Innovations
Hygiene Innovations (HII) was formed to introduce an innovative new baby care product, Pipila, to the U.S. mass market. Pipila is a compact, portable pacifier cleaner that was developed in Australia. It kills up to 99.9% of germs on a pacifier and operates on two AAA batteries, so it can be used anywhere and it's compact enough to fit easily in a diaper bag, for example. Pipila accommodates all standard-size baby pacifiers and the cleaning process takes just five minutes from start to finish.
Pipila was developed in Australia by a dental hygiene company to respond to the increased concern worldwide about germs and hygiene, particularly when babies are concerned. It was researched and developed by a Nick Roiniotis.
Chrisoula Doulas, who has been involved in the dental hygiene profession in the USA for over 20 years has now brought Pipila to the USA with her company Hygiene innovations, Inc.
We feel that improved hygiene and control of germs has become a major focus in many different product categories - antibacterial soap and antibacterial wipes are good examples. For years parents would give their babies' a pacifier without thinking about the fact that they can pick up germs and provide a breeding ground for harmful microbes.
Moreover, because babies' immune systems deteriorate to 35% of the level at birth in the first three months of life and then slowly recover to 55% at 18 months, they are extremely vulnerable to infection and illness during that period. Consumers, and child caregivers especially, are becoming much more conscious of cleanliness and sanitation issues, and this product directly addresses those concerns.
Once the pacifier is inserted into Pipila, one push activates the cleaning process, which takes just six minutes.
In addition to its effectiveness, Pipila has been designed for convenience, ease-of-use and portability. Since it is battery-powered and doesn't need an external power source, it can be taken and used anywhere. We think that many people will buy more than one so they can have them in multiple locations, such as the nursery, the car or in a travel bag. They're also very attractive, coming in bright red, green and blue options.
